Hoping to eventually publish your dissertation as a book? Our panelists from prominent university presses will give you guidance on how to craft a proposal, how to select and approach editors, and how to transform your project from a dissertation into a book. Demystify the process during a panel discussion and Q&A with:

– Susan Ferber, Executive Editor (American and world history)
– Morgan Jones, Acquisitions Editor, Oxford University Press (political science, international relations, environmental politics, urban politics, geopolitics/security studies)
– Philip Leventhal, Senior Executive Editor, Columbia University Press (film and media studies, journalism studies, literary studies)
– Sharmila Sen, Editorial Director, Harvard University Press (classics, religion, history, sociology, biography, literary studies, comics, current events)

Note: This event is open to the entire Yale community, including postdoctoral scholars and junior faculty. GSAS PhD students can also book a 15-minute one-on-one meetings with an editor prior to the panel [currently at WAITLIST status due to high demand).
