Using small groups in class engages students, promotes social connections, and has been shown to both enhance student learning and produce more equitable learning outcomes. Many faculty began to integrate small group discussions in their live teaching over the past year, utilizing the breakout room function in Zoom. As we transition to in-person teaching, please join us for this conversation with Claudia Valeggia, Professor of Anthropology, and Mayur Desai, Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health, to think about how to effectively facilitate small groups in the classroom setting. This conversation will take place on Zoom, and the link will be provided upon registration.
