Many Yale instructors have developed new ways of engaging students during remote instruction, such as Zoom chat and polling features. As we consider this semester's transition from remote to in-person instruction, how can we continue to foster student engagement? This workshop (held on Zoom) will explore Poll Everywhere, a Yale-supported classroom polling platform that functions well in both in-person and remote contexts. Participants will experience learning options first-hand from the student perspective, including multiple choice polls and Q&A boards, and explore related ideas for asynchronous approaches. Participants will discuss best practices with colleagues and Poorvu Center staff.
