As instructors we look to support student growth and learning, which means encouraging students to meet challenges and try new things. In this Teaching and Learning Discussion, we will focus on structures and strategies to encourage students to experiment, take risks, and use creativity in the classroom. Trattie Davies, Critic at the Yale School of Architecture, and Eduardo Fernandez-Duque, Professor of Anthropology, will kick off the discussion with their own thoughts and practices, and participants are encouraged to come ready to contribute their own questions, challenges, and variations on these practices. Light refreshments will be served - if you have dietary preferences or allergies, please reach out to faculty.teaching@yale.edu.
