
Academic Continuity: Encouraging Students to Value Class Time

Details
As students adjusted to in-person classes after a year of remote teaching, students appreciated having lectures recorded to help review course content and to make up missed classes. However, many instructors experienced a significant drop in course attendance when using lecture capture. In this session, we will think of ways to set expectations and help students see the value of attending class time, while keeping the class flexible for absences due to illness and life events, and how Poll Everywhere and various Canvas tools can help.
