Fundamentals of Equitable Teaching: In-person (4 of 4)

Are you interested in learning teaching strategies that help foster an equitable and inclusive environment in your classroom? Would you like to discuss strategies to create an equitable setting for all students with differing access needs? Do you want to better understand how "the hidden curriculum" influences students' learning and participation? This four-part series will include information on universal design for learning, strategies for creating a caring and supportive classroom environment, and tools for the transparent assessment of all students. In this workshop you will define equitable teaching, become familiar with the scholarship on core pedagogical principles, and learn evidence-based teaching strategies you can put into practice immediately. For more information, please email Allison Chu (allison.chu@yale.edu) or Sara Misgen (sara.misgen@yale.edu).
