This workshop explores the role of critical and disability pedagogies in creating equitable learning environments for disabled students and instructors. Participants will reflect on their own classrooms, their experiences of disability in the classroom, and explore ways to incorporate critical disability pedagogies into their own teaching. This workshop builds off of the ITW: Disability in the Classroom, scheduled on Thursday, March 2nd. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend both workshops as they build off of one another. For more information, please contact lauren.saunders@yale.edu and sara.misgen@yale.edu.

Please note: Advanced Teaching Workshops (ATWs) count towar
d the requirements for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). ATWs are designed as deeper dives into a given topic, and are especially appropriate for participants with prior experience. If you are new to the subject matter, you may be more comfortable starting with the ITW on "Disability in the Classrooom" or "Identity in the Classroom," but this is not required.

This workshop will be held in person.
