Are you looking for ways to create a more inclusive classroom for international students? Do you sometimes wonder if your classroom presents an equitable learning environment for domestic and international students alike? This workshop will explore how cultural differences and expectations might affect your teaching practices, encourage you to consider the challenges that international students can face in the classroom, and help you identify strategies and resources that can help you make your teaching more equitable and inclusive to all. For more information, please contact Ketty Kabengele (ketty.kabengele@yale.edu) or Micah Siegel (micah.siegel@yale.edu).

This workshop will be held in person.

Please note: Intermediate Teaching Workshops (ITWs) count toward the requirements for the CCTP. They do not presuppose any previous engagement with the topic, but will draw on topics mentioned in the Fundamentals of Teaching/the CIRTL MOOC. For a refresher on key pedagogical terms you may have encountered in the Fundamentals or the CIRTL MOOC, please refer to our glossary: tinyurl.com/PedagogicalGlossary.
