DESCRIPTION:How do you respond when a student shares with you that they are struggling with depression, anxiety, or other barriers to their wellbeing in your classroom? This workshop will invite graduate student instructors across the disciplines to develop skills and strategies for supporting students’ mental health. We will learn how to apply principles of accessible design to structure our own classrooms, familiarize ourselves with Yale’s mental health resources, and discuss ways to compassionately care for students while maintaining healthy boundaries as an instructor. For more information, reach out to Niv Karthikeyan (niv.karthikeyan@yale.edu) and Eden Rea-Hedrick (eden.rea-hedrick@yale.edu).\n---\nEvent Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=2301355
