Details
TO REGISTER, READ BELOW:
Monk Youth Jazz and STEAM Collective (MYJSC) is a K-8 music and STEAM-driven college and career readiness afterschool program at the Dixwell/Yale Community Learning Center (101 Ashmun St, right next to Yale Health). We are looking for Yale students who are interested in volunteering at MYJSC.
The program runs Mon-Fri from 3-5:30pm, so volunteers can choose to come at any day(s) of the week, at a one-time or weekly schedule. Student organizations, residential colleges, sports teams, cultural centers, and other groups are welcome to pick a single day where their members can be present for volunteering.
Volunteering can include assisting the kids with their classes and activities, being present in their learning journey, or even teaching a class or skill you’re passionate about! By volunteering with MYJSC, you will be providing invaluable support to New Haven students. Please fill out the short form below if you are interested!
Below is the process of applying to this position:
- Complete this Yale Connect form: https://cglink.me/2dA/s95581
- We will then review your application. Once it is approved, you will be able to register for this opportunity under the "Service Opportunities" page in Yale Connect, which can be found here: Service Opportunities. Currently, only the Friday sessions are listed, but if you are interested in volunteering on another day of the week, a new event will be created for that day in Yale Connect.
