Swimming at Payne Whitney Gym is open again after a brief cleaning and disinfection period. You can reserve time slots of 45 mins for your lap swims here. Make sure to go through the gym's covid guidelines here before you book an appointment, and remember that you need to be registered as "in-residence" to be able to use the gym.

Join your Arts and Culture McDougal fellows for a night of embroidery. Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to apply thread or yarn to create a design. At this event you will have the opportunity to embroider a special design. This is a great way to create your own one-of-a-kind fashion statement, or to simply revive an old shirt (cotton, linen, muslin, silk, or blends) that has been sitting in the back of your drawer!
P.S. in addition to an old shirt other fabrics you might use for the event are, a pillow case, a thin tote bag, or 7in piece of fabric that you can use as a wall hanging!!
Feeling excited to cook some authentic Indian food at home? Chef Bryan from Sherkaan restaurant will teach you how to make simple Indian foods - Dahi Puri and Tiger Milk on Tuesday Nov. 10. They will prepare all the basic ingredients for the dishes in one kit. You just need to register and buy your $15 + fee ticket in advance online. The ingredient kit will be ready for you to pick up beforehand at Sherkaan on Sunday or Monday! You supply pans, utensils and your kitchen as you zoom along with the chef and meet other grad student cooks to make traditional Indian street food!

Zentangle is an art practice that uses structured patterns to overcome self-criticism, fear of failure, lack of immediate positive feedback, and worrying about outcomes. Laura Marks is a certified Zentangle teacher who has been practicing this method since 2014, and will be leading this virtual workshop.

Bullet journaling is a flexible and effective way to organize numerous aspects of your life! Julia Istomina from the GWL will join us to share the basics of bullet journaling. Then we'll take time to set up our brand new, complementary bullet journals together!

We will also introduce you some interesting facts about the countries, such as music and costumes.
Paint your own snowman mug that's perfect for the upcoming winter season! Pick up your art supplies at Art Plus Studio then join us on zoom and we will paint them together. Instructions will be provided by Bella Zadore from Arts Plus Studio. Last day of mug sales is Nov. 2nd!
