Hello and Happy Halloween month!
Hope you enjoyed the Fall break. Please look below for a recap of recent Esplanade events as well as upcoming ones. With the weather getting colder, we hope you take advantage of community programs to take a break from work and hang out with neighbors. Thanks to all who came out for our community breakfast, our hike to East Rock park, Farnum Garden Nature walk, and the visit to the Leitner Observatory! We hope you had a fun time! For those who were unable to attend any of these events, there will still be many opportunities in the coming weeks to get to spend time with other residents!

Game Night
Join us in the community room this Thursday at 7:00 pm for game night, snacks, and good company! Please bring your competitive spirits and your favorite board games. Use the link below to register.
Mini Pumpkin Painting
In the spirit of Halloween, Libby will be guiding kids to paint pumpkins during children's playgroup this week while enjoying tasty treats!
Trick or Treat
Additionally, children of all ages are welcome to participate in trick or treat on Monday, Oct 31 with Whitehall. Libby will reach out with additional information on how we can all support this long-held tradition! |

Community Updates & Announcements
Housing Inspections
Graduate Housing will begin conducting Health & Safety inspections in all Dorms and Apartments once a semester and twice a year. This semester's inspections will be on October 24 & 25. You do not have to be home for this inspection. Once your room is inspected, Housing will leave a written reason why your unit passed or failed the Health & Safety inspection. Any violations will be noted and re-inspected for follow-up at another date.
Facilities Reports
As a reminder, please report maintenance and pest issues to facilities using this link.
Flu Shots
As part of the Yale Community Compact, all members of the Yale Community must get their flu shots by December 1, 2022. Use the Flu Shot Finder to schedule your flu shot appointment.
Community Updates
Congratulations to Eliza & Ethan who welcomed their son, Andy, home about a month ago! If you’d like to drop something off for them (apt B8), they love fresh fruit and sweet treats.
