Fellows' Tips of the Week

Jing and Saiti's International Tip of the Week -  Do you want to make some Indian foods but don’t know where to get these particular spices? Chef Brian from Sherkaan restaurant kindly suggested that Indian Farmer Market in West Haven is a good place to find the common Indian spices, such as chaat masala and chutney.

Connor & Jen and Taryn & Johnny's Spouse and Family Tip of the Week -  Don't forget, New Haven and State Parks grounds are open to the public even after their operational season. They may not have facilities available, but they're still plenty of fun! Lighthouse Point Park will be closing soon; it's weather dependent whether they will be open and charging non-NHV residents parking fees on the weekends. For those with transport, Hammonasset State Park is beautiful no matter the temperature. So remember: If it's "closed," it's open and free. Note: Lighthouse Point is always free for NHV residents with proof of residency!

Emily and Sarwar's Sports and Rec Tip of the Week -  Looking for a free and effective tool to organise and manage your personal and/or professional goals ? Check out notion.so , a free tool that can help you de-clutter your mind from all the tasks and plans by allowing you to create custom sections to organise eveything as you wish.

Caitlin and Cecilia's Public Service Tip of the Week -  Give thanks by giving to the United Way of Greater New Haven (facilitated by the Yale Genetics Department) to help end hunger in the region. Find out more here.

Sam's Yale's 150th Anniversary WomenAtYale Symposium Recordings Tip of the Week - Check out the closed-captioned replays of the capstone 150th Anniversary of Women At Yale Virtual Symposium, which occurred from September 24-27, 2020. Over 4,000 alumni joined us live for this historic, first-of-its kind online event for Yale. We were honored to be joined by Secretary Hillary Clinton, Jodie Foster, Dr. Elizabeth Alexander, and many more outstanding alumnae, who engaged in thoughtful conversations on the most pressing issues of our time. View replays of the historic symposium and additional resources here.

Jo's COVID Alert Tip of the Week - Download the CT Covid Alert app for apple and android smartphones to get covid exposure proximity alerts by phone - telling you if you've been near to someone who is positive. It's completely anonymous, download it today. More info here.
