OISS has partnered up with Graduate Housing, MacMillan Center, McDougal GSL, and Yale China for a trick-or-treat tour on this side of campus! Each of our offices will have stations set-up where you can stop by, say “Trick-Or-Treat”, and get some Halloween candy.
Costumes for this event are HIGHLY encouraged (basically required), as this is the whole point of Halloween and Trick-Or-Treating! The OISS team is busy preparing our costumes as we speak…
You must register to attend, and this event is for adults only, per COVID guidelines.
Details about the trick-or-treat route will be sent to those who register for the event a day or two before the event.
McDougal GSL and Mexican Graduate Student Society invites you to celebrate Day of the Dead! In Mexican culture, it is believed that on Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) the deceased spirits return to earth to spend time with their families. This event will feature a traditionally decorated altar (known as ofrendas) where you can pay tribute to your deceased loved ones. Check out the amazing decorations, learn about this joyous holiday and munch on Pan de muerto (Bread of the Dead). Register now!
Drop by anytime to carve pumpkins with other grad families. Stay as long as you like to execute your creative vision, or just grab your pumpkin and go! We'll provide the pumpkins and tools. Expect the kids to take the lead on scooping goop. Sorry, this event is just for GSAS students with children.
Have you been missing the theater? If you have, this is your chance to enjoy the magic of a live performance again. Join your McDougal Fellows for a performance of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale! Afterwards there will be a brief talk back with the director!
