Join your Arts and Culture McDougal fellows for a night of trivia! This semester your McDougal Fellows will be holding a monthly trivia night, where graduate students can come with a team or be placed on a team and enjoy a night of friendly competition. (While we will do our best to accommodate your request to be put into a specific team, please note that it's not guaranteed.) Each month our first place team will win a prize (a Yale T-shirt from Campus Customs). In December the top 3 teams from the monthly trivia will compete in a final trivia night for the chance to win THE GRAND PRIZE! So come with your friends (or come and make new friends), answer questions, win prizes, and have a good time!

Come to the FIRST ever, online McDougal Speed Friending event on Friday, September 25th at 5:30pm. It will involve short, intriguing conversations with other graduate students on the Icebreaker video platform.
We provide the chalk, from there the possibilities are limitless. Hit up the sidewalks of NHV with chalk art and affirmations in our respective neighbourhoods or area of choice. Join together by Zoom on September 26 to share our sidewalk masterpieces afterward. After the event, use our NHV Chalk Art Map to find other chalk creations in your neighborhood. Registration closes September 22nd. Zoom meet up will be Saturday morning, September 26th.

Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. The Walk to End Alzheimers is happening on Saturday, September 26. This year, participants will be walking in small groups or individually. Learn more, register, and donate here.

September 15- October 15: Celebrate and learn during Hispanic Heritage Month: La Casa, the Yale Latinx cultural center hosts many great virtual events all month; the Peabody Museum hosts a virtual Fiesta Latina! now thru Oct. 13 with events for all ages. Check out CT CEA family friendly info; Grab your mask and shopping bag to visit the many Latinx cafes, panaderias (bakeries), tiendas (shops), food trucks, churches and community centers in New Haven's Fair Haven neighborhood. Over 18% of the US population, and about 30% of New Haven residents, have Latinx or hispanic family backgrounds.
