The Wu Tsai Institute and Yale Ventures present a team-science workshop and industry roundtable as part of the Institute's Grand Challenges in Cognition: Foundation Models of the Brain.

Multidisciplinary Yale teams will share ambitious research proposals to advance our understanding of cognition through foundation models of the brain. Teams will propose new computational approaches for integrating diverse, multimodal neuroscience data that span domains such as methods, species, age groups, spatiotemporal scales, and tasks. Presenters will address challenges around data collection and curation and describe informatics platforms for accessing data.

Industry guests representing research from NVIDIA, Toyota, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Biohaven Pharmaceuticals will share their perspectives on current advances in their fields.

Attendees will gain insight into future directions of research in machine learning and neuroscience and benefit from ample time for questions and discussion, with the hope of identifying opportunities for collaboration.
