Griffin Berlin is a Student Affairs Associate in the Office of Gender and Campus Culture and Alcohol and Other Drugs Harm Reduction Initiative. He graduated from Yale College in 2021 with a degree in Comparative Literature. At Yale, he worked as a Communication and Consent Educator (CCE) and helped direct the preorientation program FOCUS. He was also a member of the improv-comedy group Exit and an editor for the Journal of Literary Translation. Born and raised on the central coast of California, Griffin loves the outdoors (especially if it’s raining), books (particularly contemporary fiction), and laughing (mainly at his own jokes). You can find Griffin wherever there are Dot’s pretzels (iykyk), or in his office in Founder’s Hall. Come say hello!

Danielle de Haerne is a Student Affairs Fellow in the Office of Gender and Campus Culture and the Alcohol and Other Drugs Harm Reduction Initiative. She graduated from Yale College in 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology, with a separate focus in English and Creative Writing, and she was in Pauli Murray College. This year, Danielle is expanding her involvement with the 1stGenYale alumni community, seeking to mentor incoming and current first generation, low income students on anything and everything to do with college and career. While being a Yale College student, Danielle was heavily involved with the First Year Scholars community, Yale Summer Session, as well as the Yale Dramat and Yale College Arts, where she served as a lead sound technician for countless productions and worked closely with the department staff. She was also active in the Chaplain’s Office where she worked as a student administrative assistant. Danielle’s work has always, in one way or another, focused on uplifting students and fostering healthy communities, and she is thrilled to be able to dedicate her time to a mission that aligns with her values. When Danielle’s not at Founder’s Hall, you’ll find her either scaling the walls of the climbing gym, or at home on Old Campus, taking care of her plants—and most notably—her two adorable cats (both honorary recipients of Yale College degrees).

Nareen Barwari graduated from Yale College in 2022 with a B.A. in Political Science and was a part of Ezra Stiles college. As a Yale college student, she was involved with YCC, the Public Health Peer Educators, Undergraduate Admissions, and everything Ezra Stiles! She was lucky enough to get to study abroad twice during her time as a Yale College student and grew immensely from those experiences. Nareen now works as a Student Affairs Fellow and feels very passionately about positive culture change and working towards innovative, upstream solutions to problems she sees around her. In her free time, Nareen spends way too much time on TikTok and eating Arethusa’s, which is in her opinion the best ice cream in New Haven without question. She is very excited to work in the Office of Gender and Campus Culture and the Alcohol and Other Drugs Harm Reduction Initiative!
