Clothing Swap, Zine Making, Summer in Full Swing
Hi DivFarm friends,
Snap peas are fruiting, cherry tomatoes are ripening, and berries are ready to pick! We are loving this summer season and have been so thrilled to celebrate it with many of you! Monday's potluck was such a joyful time of sharing good food and conversation (as well as doing a little weeding, because we couldn't help ourselves). If you weren't able to make it, we have so many more opportunities coming up for gardening & community.
We'll meet this week at our regular Saturday time from 10-12. There's lots of weeding and trellisign still to be done, and we're hoping to assemble our new swing that we were able to purchase with our summer funding from OSA!
On Friday, July 4 at 9 AM, we'll be coming together to make DivFarm Zines!!! We'll have lots of art supplies and photos of the garden, and we'd love for you all to bring your creative selves.
Also, on Sunday, July 6 from 5-7 PM, we'll be having a clothing swap! In the spirit of minimizing waste and dreaming of different ways of living economically & ecologically, bring any clothes that no longer fit or just aren't your style anymore to give them a second life. We are so excited about this event — please feel free to spread the word far and wide!
If you haven't already, you can join the WhatsApp group (where we provide updates) by using this link or replying to this email. And as always, if you have any questions or want to get more involved, feel free to reach out to any of our summer coordinators — Emily (e.wright@yale.edu), Katie (katie.mills@yale.edu), and Abby (abby.langford@yale.edu) — for help.
We can't wait to see y'all soon!
In the garden,
Abby, Katie, and Emily
