Welcome to the Jewish Medical Student Association (JMSA) at the Yale School of Medicine! JMSA (also known as the Maimonides Society) aims to welcome and support students by creating a Jewish community and family. Over the course of the year, we host Shabbat dinners, holiday parties, and other events.
Our mission is to empower Jewish medical students to excel in their medical careers while connecting with their Jewish identity by creating a space to celebrate their faith and culture, serving the local community, connecting students to Jewish life at Yale, and working alongside the growing body of Jewish medical professionals across the country.
We envision an inclusive and diverse Jewish community at YSM where all students are welcome and engaged, and where students utilize Jewish values to promote compassionate and culturally competent care.
