Diploma & Diploma Name, NameCoach and Family Visa Letters

Please confirm your Diploma Name and Degree on YaleHub before April 7th. Yale University will impose a fine if you do not confirm your name prior to that date.

All names should be in all capital letters with the exception of names such as: McCARTHY, DeVILLE, etc. If you would like to make name changes on your diploma, you must complete the Diploma Name Dynamic Form provided in YaleHub.

NOTE: We highly recommend that your diploma name matches your official legal documents/identification records (e.g., passport, permanent id card, transcript). In the past, students have had degree verification issues related to different names on the Yale diploma compared to their legal paperwork

Those using their preferred name in YaleHub instead of their full name should pay careful attention.

YSOA students are required to visit NameCoach, to record your name so that it is pronounced properly during the Diploma Ceremony.
