Purpose of Exit Counseling
Exit counseling is designed to help students:
Understand their Yale student loan responsibilities.
Prepare for repayment and choose a plan that fits their financial situation.
How to Complete Exit Counseling
Complete the exit requirement by Friday, May 8th to ensure there are no delays with your diploma.
Failure to complete exit counseling will result in a hold on your student record, which can prevent access to transcripts and your diploma.
After you complete your exit counseling, please allow 72 hours for the system to process and remove your hold. The university cannot print or release your diploma until this hold has been cleared. To avoid any delays, do not wait until the week of commencement to complete your exit counseling. We strongly recommend taking care of this requirement as early as possible.
