
Tickets will be required to gain entry to Old Campus for Yale’s 325th Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 18, 2026. Each student receiving a degree from the Graduate School or one of the professional schools will receive two (2) guest tickets. The University will distribute tickets to each graduate when you pick up your regalia. Graduating degree candidates do not need tickets to attend Commencement. Graduating students, along with faculty and fellows, must wear academic regalia to participate. Children ages 3 and under do not require a ticket. However, they cannot occupy a seat and must sit in the lap of a ticketed guest.
Guests who do not have tickets for Old Campus can watch the ceremony on screen as it takes place. The event will be livestreamed to locations across campus and available on the Yale YouTube Channel.

Tickets are not required to attend the YSOA Diploma Ceremony in the garden of the Yale Art Gallery. The only exception is in the event of an indoor diploma ceremony because of rain, YSOA may need to issue tickets. The YSOA Diploma Ceremony will be live-streamed for your family and friends who cannot attend in person.
Each year, the Community Centers like the Asian-American Cultural Center, the Afro-American Cultural Center, the Yale Native American Cultural Center holds their annual Graduates’ Celebration to formally recognize the achievements of graduating students of Asians, African, Native American, Latinx extraction in culturally-affirming ceremonies that marks the end of their time at Yale.
