This event will introduce students to Central Asian culture and cuisine through a hands-on bread-baking workshop. Traditional Central Asian bread, also known as "non" or "lepyoshka," holds a deep cultural significance for many Central Asian families. In Uzbekistan, this bread represents our community, as it is often baked to celebrate cultural holidays, such as Kurban Hayit (Eid al-Adha), and familial celebrations, such as weddings and births.

During this event, students will be invited to learn about the cultural significance of this bread, watch a demonstration, and bake their own bread with our assistance. At the end of this event, students will be able to taste their own bread with jam. This event will help students discover Central Asian culture and get a taste of Central Asian cuisine!
