About Us

Saint Thomas More’s African American Ministry (AfAm Ministry), founded in 2020 by chaplain Allan Esteron and student leaders, celebrates and deepens the unique Black Catholic experience. Composed of students from diverse backgrounds, the Ministry fosters spiritual growth as part of the collegiate journey. Rooted in shared Catholic faith, it embraces cultural diversity, enriching community, broadening theological perspectives, and promoting service and justice. The AfAm Ministry creates a space where faith and culture intersect, building connections among Black Catholic students and beyond.
