The Yale School of the Environment invites you to join us for our October 8, 2021 conference: "Public Investment for Decarbonization: Principles for Good Policy."

Led my students from the Policy and Climate Change Learning Communities and faculty, this event came to fruition through our common understanding of the potential for public investments to more effectively enable deep decarbonization. Together, we aim to explore two key questions:

1. How should public investments be made to overcome technical and economic barriers to deep decarbonization?
2. How should public investments be made to be equitable and to build political coalitions that support deep decarbonization, including regulatory climate reforms?
__

Featuring panelists from the public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations, and academia, we aim to collectively explore the links, barriers, and opportunities at the nexus of public investment, climate change, and deep decarbonization. This event consists of two panels in the morning of October 8, each focusing on one of the above questions.

To comply with Yale's current event guidelines, this event is being offered in a hybrid format: panelists will join us virtually via Zoom, while Yale students and faculty are welcome to attend in-person in Burke Auditorium in Kroon Hall with limited seating capacity (lunch will be provided).

Registration is required.
