With events like the Syrian refugee crisis and President Trump's executive order on refugee admissions saturating the news, refugee issues are central in the current legal and political climate. The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) assists refugees, as well as other types of immigrants, in various stages of their visa application processes. Since the fall of 2016, more than 100 members of Yale Law's IRAP chapter have represented 37 clients. In addition to representing individuals, IRAP engages with refugee levels at multiple issues, from national policy advocacy to assisting local refugee communities.
