About Us

Our mission statement is to bring together musicians from Yale with the local New Haven community. Yale instrumentalists and vocalists of all levels who are driven by their passion for music and willingness to bring music to people who need it most are welcome to join. A major tenet of our organization is providing live outreach music performances for the New Haven community at day-care centers, senior living facilities, hospices, etc. We hope to soothe and entertain those who would not otherwise have many opportunities to engage with live music and strive to make a difference in their day. In addition to outreach performances, we seek to provide informal music classes (covering instrumental/vocal instruction as well as general music theory classes) to children in the New Haven community. Members will design a music curriculum, which will be implemented at after-school workshops at elementary schools and social enrichment programs such as L.E.A.P. We hope to engage younger children through music, helping them become exposed to different styles and ultimately explore their passion for music.
