About Us
The Office of Nursing Impact (ONI) is strategically divided into three key divisions: Strategic Engagement Team, Simulation Center, and Planetary Health & Global Engagement. Under the leadership of Associate Dean Dr. Christine Rodriguez, these divisions exemplify a coordinated approach to enhancing nursing education, strategic collaborations, and local-to-global health impact.
Mission
The Office of Nursing Impact (ONI) at Yale School of Nursing is committed to transforming the impact of nursing education through community-centered approaches to leadership. Through strategic engagement, education, and world-class simulation design, ONI empowers students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge, skills, and tools to address social and structural factors influencing health, reduce gaps in care, and foster environments that reflect and respond to the communities we serve. ONI builds capacity across the YSN community to lead transformative change in healthcare, education, and policy through a local-to-global framework.
Vision
To establish Yale School of Nursing as a global leader in transformative nursing education and health systems innovation, whereby every member of the community is equipped to champion human rights, reduce gaps in care, and set new standards for excellence in health care, scholarship, and service across cultures and contexts.
