Older Wiser Law Students

About Us

Older Wiser Law Students (OWLS), formerly known at Yale as SCOWLS and ALSSO, fosters a supportive community for students who have taken significant time off prior to law school, are transitioning into second careers, are married and/or parenting, or view their academic path as non-traditional. The group caters to the social, academic, and other needs of those who are transitioning back to student life after a number of years out of school or who have serious commitments that fall outside of class.
