What is Looking for Friends?

Looking for Friends (also referred to as Tractor) is the most complicated card game you will ever play. Looking for Friends is similar in some ways to more widely known card games like Bridge, Spades, or Hearts, but chances are, you've never seen anything like it. Here are some of the fun parts of Looking for Friends you won't see in any other games:

• 2 decks! Sometimes 3! Or more! For times when keeping track of 54 cards is too easy for you.
• Non-fixed partnerships! Your team and opponents change every round, and sometimes, you don't even know who they are!
• Asymmetric suits! It might look like it has spades on it, but it's actually a heart!
• Tired of waiting idly while waiting for someone to deal? Draw your own cards instead, except how you draw changes how the game is played!
• Cumulative rounds! How you play in one round affects what happens in the next ones!
• And more!

Mission

Yale Undergraduate Looking for Friends aims to teach and promote the card game Looking for Friends (µë¥µ£ïÕÅï) at Yale. Our weekly games are open to anyone, regardless of skill level or experience. We hope to provide an intellectual challenge and a space to meet other people looking for a complex yet enjoyable card game. The best part, however, of joining YLFF is the friends one makes along the way.
