Events

The Yale Law Urbanists offer the following programming in the academic year:

Lunch Talks

We will host lunch talks on topics including inclusionary zoning, technology in local government, and New Haven economic development and transportation.

Dialogue

We will host informal meetings to discuss issues like urban resiliency, current events in Connecticut, and the escalating costs of subway construction. We will also create spaces for students to discuss their own related academic ideas.

Career Mentoring

We will host a conversation on 1L summer jobs in state and local government, and facilitate introductions to professionals working in this area. We are also working on a guide to post-graduate career opportunities in state and local government.

Community Involvement

We will host events that enable YLS students to explore and be involved in the surrounding New Haven Community.
