Alcohol is only approved at Student Orgs event when OSA has reviewed the request. Alcohol cannot be ordered on a PCard under any circumstance by a student. Check the alcohol policy here for more information.
Student org funds cannot be used to pay for individuals fees associated to conference admission, competitions, or other such gatherings. This includes Yale community members and external guests.
Funding is not provided to any event outside of class time (this includes exams, reading periods, and recesses.) Any event that occurs in these time periods are considered informal and not official events.
As per CT state law, and Yale General Counsel, student orgs cannot host events that include gambling, casino nights, or raffles as its main programming element. Funding is not provided for such events.
Yale staff, faculty, and students cannot receive speaker gifts. Gifts for external speakers are limited to $40 per speaker.
