Welcome to the Yale Immigrant Justice Project

About Us

The Yale Immigrant Justice Project (IJP) organizes law students in support of immigrant communities in the Greater New Haven area and around the country. Law students engage in projects involving direct legal services, assisting with strategic litigation, and drafting appeals of immigration decisions. As they stand, immigration policies exist to disorient and dehumanize those who wish to make their home in the U.S. We envision a different future in which no one has to live in fear because of their documentation status. We hope to use the skills, privileges, and opportunities our law degrees give us to work towards making that a reality.
