About Us

The Yale Africa Innovation Symposium (YAIS) is designed for young, bright minds and African field experts to convene, deconstruct issues, and produce resolutions across various African industries. The YAIS Committee hosts an annual conference open to Yale and non-Yale students and young professionals to foster action-focused development on the continent. The two-day symposium promotes the intellectual curiosity of the African Diaspora and celebrates the beauty of African culture at the gala through fashion, cuisine, and performances. The YAIS provides opportunities for career development through engaging in workshops with speakers and invited companies. The YAIS creates and solidifies connections with the Yale community, Yale alumni community, New Haven community, and partners around the world.
