The Office of Student Affairs is happy to announce that $500 per MPH & MS student has been allocated to be used toward Academic Engagement this academic year. Academic Engagement funding may be used to pay for conferences, case competitions, training opportunities, or programming exams related to your academic program as an MPH student.

To request funding, please fill out the SAYPH Academic Engagement Funding Request Form.

Please see the SAYPH Academic Engagement Funding Guidance For Students document for more information.

    Some rules regarding this funding:
    1.  There is a limit of $500 per student per academic cycle (August through May 6). You can submit this form ONCE for ONE academic engagement activity, regardless of how much funding is needed for that one activity. The form may not be submitted more than once.
    2.  Submitting the application does not guarantee funding. All forms are reviewed by the Student Affairs Office for approval.
    3.  Appropriate expenses to be reimbursed include registration fees, flights, and hotels. Food and alcohol will not be reimbursed.
    4.  Students must review and comply with the necessary health and safety steps according to university travel guidelines for conferences that involve travel.
    5.  Stipends will be processed via check or Zelle. Make sure your yale.edu e-mail account is associated with your Zelle account to receive payment.
    6.  Additional documents may be required based on affiliation to Yale (e.g. W9/W-8BEN for supplier setup, tax documents, etc).
    7.  International students seeking reimbursement may be subject to tax-withholding.
