Yale College Community Care

"Yale College Community Care (YC3), a program created through the collaboration between Yale College and Yale Mental Health and Counseling, expands mental health and wellness support to Yale College's diverse undergraduate student community. In addition to the services that remain available to students via the department of Yale Mental Health and Counseling, the YC3 program offers students additional options for support. The YC3 program provides students the ability to drop-in with a team member during a day/time of their choosing." - The YC3 Website

The Yale Bandana Project

"The Bandana Project was founded on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in January of 2016 with the help of a [National Alliance on Mental Illness] (NAMI) On Campus chapter. The Bandana Project is a simple yet innovative suicide prevention and mental health awareness movement. Members tie a lime-green bandana to their backpack, signifying they are in possession of region-specific and national resources. They pledge to support the mental health of those in their life, and reject stigma associated with mental illness. As an organization, we support chapters in creating community connections, bolstering resources, and making positive changes in mental health promotion and suicide prevention. This proliferates resources, normalizes and de-stigmatizes getting help, and provides invaluable, unspoken solidarity with those struggling." - The Bandana Project Website
