I am Tamika Thomas-Murray, a unique blend of a third-year part-time law student at Pace University's Elisabeth Haub School of Law, renowned for its top-ranking environmental law program, and an environmental Educator with New York City’s Department of Education. I am deeply passionate about emerging energy and its potential to address systemic energy inequities. My enthusiasm is fueled by the prospect of proposing legislative and regulatory reforms that will include legal analysis to help lawmakers and advocates adopt policies that prioritize environmental justice communities.
Research Title: Microgrid Barriers that Have Equitable Energy Solutions
Abstract: This poster presentation will be divided into three parts. Part I will focus on Microgrids as resilient energy sources that offer equitable energy solutions. Part II will address the complexities of regulatory policies aligned with microgrids and their challenges. III will describe the impact of Microgrids in Action Case Studies that have offered resilient solutions while promoting sustainability and leading to democratized energy sources.
