Rooms and Spaces for Grad Student Organization Events

Yale has no centralized system to reserve rooms or spaces for student organization events. As leaders, you may have to get creative to find available space to meet your event needs. Some spaces are only available to certain kinds of organizations, groups/members from specific schools, at certain times (after classes), or for specific purposes. Many campus spaces are free for registered student organizations to use. Some may charge a fee or require a security deposit and cleanup costs. Here are some of the Yale spaces graduate student organizations can use for their events:

McDougal Student Center

We have decided to launch a trial period in which registered GSAS student orgs will be allowed to reserve the McDougal space for their events. Please read and adhere to the following guidelines.

Classrooms at Yale

Classrooms at Yale are managed by the University Registrar - see the Classrooms Website for room listings and availability.

Chaplain's Office

The Chaplain's Office can help you access worship spaces like Battell and Harkness chapels.

Luce Hall

Overseen by the MacMillan Center. Student organizations may reserve the auditorium, classrooms and common area, usually for a fee.
